Absa Bank acts as the independent third party. The buyer releases payment when satisfied. The seller may cancel after goods are returned. Balances are only visible inside Internet Banking.
Absa administration creates a User ID and password for the buyer and the seller from the dashboard.
The administrator places funds into escrow. Both parties can see the held amount once signed in.
When the buyer accepts the goods or service, they release the funds to the seller.
If the buyer returns the goods, the seller can cancel the transaction and reverse the holding.
Every escrow receives an automatic ID. Anyone can track status on the website without signing in.
